What are SCG Barito Logistics’ specific objectives?

A joint venture company established in 2017 between SCG CEMENT-BUILDING MATERIAL CO., LTD, and PT BARITO INVESTA PRIMA with the main objective to provide total logistical support solutions and transportation services of products for the purpose of serving all kinds of costumers' needs through Indonesia, combining the strengths of both SCG Group and Barito Pacific Group.

SCG Logistics Management Company operates as a Third-Party Logistics Service, managing services through the carrier's network with a primary focus on GMS (The Greater Mekong Subregion) countries. GMS is a natural economic area bound together by the Mekong River, covering 2.6 million square kilometers and a combined population of around 326 million. As for now, SCG Logistics expanding for the Indonesian market with the establishment of a new company name, namely SCG Barito Logistics.


We particularly emphasize providing Transportation Services for general and special goods including but not limited to polyolefin products in the form of resin (raw materials for plastics), cement products in loose bags and bulk trucks, paper rolls, packaging products such as paper boxes and flexible packaging products, building materials, and mining products such as coal and gypsum. 

Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies, which include packaged foods, drinks, toiletries, cosmetics, cleaning supplies, and other inexpensive household items are another market of SCG Barito Logistics.

SCG Barito Logistics facilitates Supply Chain Visibility by establishing a Logistics Command Center to monitor all SBL fleets equipped with intelligent GPS systems with staff in operation 24/7. When an abnormality occurs, the LCC staff will contact the driver immediately. Also, customers can track by themselves conveniently via the website.

SCG Barito Logistics as a logistics service provider, creates confidence and peace of mind in using our services is very important, which is the key to building customer confidence or policies on the safety of people and products. Therefore, we have developed a Delivery Management System to allow customers to track the status of goods and transport vehicles in real-time and also the safety of drivers through the LCC room or Logistics Command Center provided with the Driver App. The Driver App works when an order is placed to pick up the products. The GPS which is installed on all of our units will track the transport from the time the product leaves the parking area to where it reaches its destination. Customers can be confident that we will deliver products correctly, on time, and safely.

SCG Barito Logistics will become a top 5 logistics provider in Indonesia by 2024 and we also have to work further that we are the top 10 which is competing in the same market/segment. To that end, SCG Barito Logistics prioritizes and implements an Occupational Safety and Health (K3) culture in order to support the government in conducting guidance and control, as well as supervision and compliance with the implementation of K3 rules and regulations.

To achieve client satisfaction, we will continue to provide high-quality services on time, with exceptional service and solutions. In order to improve our services, SCG Barito Logistics will also develop a product based on the Digital Business Platform in the future.
